SIAP and SI-PAPI Installation instructions.
Start by cutting a length of cable (estimate route,
measure and cut. Leave a couple inches for the loops). Then slide (1) cable clamp and small piece of shrink tube up the cable out of the way. Place the cable through the hole on the side of the M-LOK or picatinny anchor point and loop the end back through the cable clamp.
Shorten the loop down to roughly the size shown below. Make sure the short end is sticking out of the clamp at least 1mm to ensure a solid connection.
Using your choice of crimping tools (1mm wire rope crimper is recommended), or if in the field, your favorite multitool, crimp the clamp shown below.*(see note below). Once crimping is complete, slide a small length of the shrink tube provided in the kit, down over the clamp. Apply heat with a heat gun until the tubing is securely wrapped around the clamp. This will protect your rail and eliminate any sound of metal on metal during movement.
That’s it! Repeat these steps on the SI you are anchoring, attach both to your rail**(see note below), route the cable through your cable management system and you are secured!
Note:
*Crimping the clamp does not take much force, and you only need to crimp enough to barely transform the clamp.
** Torque for MLOK nut is 35lbs-in for metal handguards (NOT FT-LBS!). Excessive torque can result in failure. HULK smash not required!

***Torque for SI-PAPI is 5lbs-in!
A small amount of Rocksett may be used if mounted for extended periods of time.
Powder Check Die STL
Simple DYI powder dump die system you can print out at home on your favorite 3d Printer!
Required materials:
1. Wooden skewer or dowl approx. .15-.16” dia
2. Small rubber washer
Note: You can sub those item for anything you have that would work.
Directions for use:
1. Insert empty case and rotate to the powder check station AFTER powder dump.
2. Run the handle all the way up.
3. Screw die down until the die either touched the top of the case (inside die) or until the die touches the shell plate. The back off 1 complete turn and gently tighten with lock nut.
4. insert wooden dowl into top of die and let it fall until it bottom of the case.
5. Slip the rubber washer down to the top of the die.
That’s it! If the charge is missed for some reason the dowl will not move up. If charged, it will rise up a little bit so you can visually see it was charged.
NOTES:
Listen, this is a free file I whipped up to solve a problem without buying another die. It got me back up and running in a hour or so. Yes I know there are other systems. Yes I know the dillion dump rarely if ever (I’ve never had it not charge). This is just a little piece of mind when loading on the 550 for ammo that may end up in a transferable or FRT set up. That’s it. I’ve been beside a post gun that had a squib. Was pretty eye opening. stacked 6 more rounds until it blew out the barrel.
